This year marked the final season for legendary Irvine High School football coach Terry Henigan, who retired after a stellar 40-year career, including the last 29 with the Vaqueros.
One can only guess at the number of motivational speeches Henigan delivered over that span. Tim Burt of the Orange County Register has the story here.
Update: Tim Burt has also posted a follow-up story featuring Coach Henigan’s thoughts on retirement. You can read it here.
