What is an RSS Feed?
RSS (most commonly expanded as “Really Simple Syndication”) is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works — such as blog entries, news headlines, audio and video — in a standardized format. Read more here.
To subscribe to this feed
Highlight and copy the following feed link: (http://newsflash.iusd.org/feed/). Then go to your favorite customizable news site or RSS Feed Reader and click on the link that allows you to add an RSS feed. Paste the feed link in the field provided, and add it to your list of news sources. That’s it!
Note that some e-mail clients, like Microsoft Outlook, also have their own RSS readers. And for those with iPhones or other web-enabled wireless devices, you can download an RSS reader app directly to your device.
To get updates via e-mail
For some of you, signing up for regular e-mail alerts may be more convenient. To do so, simply click here and enter your e-mail address and name in the fields shown. You’ll then be sent a confirmation email to respond to, and you’re all set. Every few weeks you’ll receive links to recent IUSD NewsFlash stories, as well as important notices and budget updates from Superintendent Terry Walker.
